2. It can be expensive

Singapore is a comparatively expensive city when it comes to comparison with other Asian countries. Finding cheap locations for dining in this city can be a pretty tiring task as restaurants in this city are very expensive. Along with all other items. But, if you go to ‘Hawker Centres’, you can find cheap food items as compared to popular cafes.

3. Singapore offers a highly walkable environment

While in Singapore, you don’t have to worry about traveling as you can go almost anywhere by taking a walk. This city offers a very walkable environment in this aspect. Some of the most popular lanes in this aspect are Haji Lane, Mini India, and many others.

4. Drink the tap water

While you’re in Singapore, you don’t have to buy even a single water bottle as the tap water is just as sparkling and clean as a water bottle. You can just walk around the city and drink tap water while traveling to your dream locations in this city.

5. English language in Singapore

There are four main languages spoken in Singapore, they are English, Mandarin, Malay and Tamil, out of which English is the most prominent among people here. You will not have to face problems if you don’t understand other languages, you can get along anywhere with just English.

6. Singapore stands as one of the biggest transport hubs in the world

Singapore is also widely used as a layover city while traveling to other different countries. It is one of the biggest transport hubs in the world. Its airport is the 7th busiest airport in the world and is equipped with a waterfall inside, a forested terraced setting, a theater and much more.

7. Singapore taxis are metered

You are not going to face the problem of inflating fare prices as the taxis in Singapore are metered and the fare is fairly calculated according to the distance covered. You’ll only have to pay for the distance that you have traveled on a fair basis and not according to the demand of the taxi driver.

8. No alcohol or drinks after 10:30 pm

If you have plans to enjoy the skyline of the city with drinks at one side, you’ll have to do it in a licensed bar after a scheduled time i.e. after 10 30pm to 7 am, drinks are not available publicly or you’ll have to pay a fine for it.
